We welcomed Jeffy Myers Neff into our home and family in July of 2018 at the age of 10 ½ years old. This little guy is a survivor and has never-ever looked back!
Our Jeffy spent over a decade living in a puppy mill; most likely in a wire cage (where he ate his meals and did all his business). He was only removed when it was time to breed--over and over again as a stud dog. He never had any medical care, and we believe he never even had a bath. We imagine he ate only junk food and scraps as he was only about 3 pounds when he was rescued. (Now he is a whopping 5.4 pounds!) We know he was neglected and abused. He came to A Tail to Tell with a broken jaw along with a myriad of medical issues. With exceptional help from many awesome vets and specialists, our little fella is thriving now.
Jeffy is a very loving, playful, and trusting dog. Snuggling is his favorite pastime. We carry him around in a doggy baby bjorn. He also has been certified as a therapy dog. He visits rehabs, hospitals, and nursing homes. He loves kids. My niece affectionately calls him her “Jeff-Jeff”.
Steve and I are filled with joy and sincere gratitude to EVERYONE that helped him on his journey.
Thank you for saving him.
With Joy,
Steve and Dena
