On August 12th, of this year, a beautiful and very timid little girl came into my life. Moxie was her name. She came by way of a wonderful neighbor of mine, Dena Ament, all the way from Lancaster, Pa. to Bethany Beach, De. When Moxie got out of the car and into my arms, she left a very bad start in life, to a new life filled with security and happiness and great things to discover.
Her first week she was off to the big city, Washington, DC to visit Linda’s mother and her Mom’s dog, Ollie. She also met a wonderful Lady, named Jane, who cuddled and welcomed Moxie to my Mom’s home, which has a great fenced in yard to play in. Freedom at last. Moxie and Ollie and Jane and I went on wonderful walks in the neighborhood where Moxie got to meet many new friends. After a week or so, it was time to return to Delaware.
Once back in Bethany Beach, Moxie and I enjoyed good weather for many walks. We walked on the beach, on wooded paths and all over the neighborhoods in our area. Every day we would meet other friends and their dogs, which Moxie was so happy to do. She especially, had one great friend a few houses from us, Stella, a cute little white dog that absolutely adores Moxie. Stella sees us pass her house and she forces her owners to bring her out to see her pal. Anyway, I could go on and on. Moxie is reawakening to life each day. She is sheer joy, and I see her being more comfortable each day. I am even thinking of adding to our little family, as I feel Moxie would love to have a pal! Thank you everyone at a tail to tell for rescuing these wonderful creatures of God. They deserve so much better!
Love Moxie and Linda.
