My name is Barber and I was born on 9/9/2020. I am a 7-pound Chihuahua mix with a longer coat that is mostly white with brown and black markings. My foster mom thinks I should have been called “Foxy” because I look like a baby fox. I have a white tail that waves like a flag when I am walking. I have been neutered, microchipped and all my shots are up to date.
I was found as a stray and taken to the Humane Society. The people there recognized me as a pup they had seen early in life, but the owner, when contacted, said he had moved and left me with a friend, though he could not remember the friend’s name. I was really scared at the Humane Society, even though they took good care of me, so a nice lady from A Tail to Tell Rescue found me my foster mom.
I really like my foster sister, who is also a Chihuahua mix, and after a few weeks, she decided she liked to romp and play with me too.
I like my foster Mom a little too much as I am a typical Chihuahua and become very possessive of my mom and show my dark side.
I would like to find a new home with a Mom that would be patient with me and continue to work on behavior modification. I promise to love my new Mom as much as I love my foster Mom.
I am a great snuggler and have the most beautiful brown eyes to gaze at you adoringly. I am crate broken but am still working on my tendency to have accidents inside. When I lived with another foster Mom for a short time, I never had accidents indoors, but she had a fenced yard and a doggie door. And other dogs…did I mention I love other dogs? I am not so sure about cats though, as I don’t remember ever having one at home to play with.
I shouldn’t be around children because of my protective nature and would do best in a house with one or two adult women…and hopefully another dog to play with.
